My name is Tommy Belknap and I want to personally thank you for your interest in Belknap Fishing. My passion for fishing was instilled in me as a young child. Though I grew up fishing the waters of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, I was truly hooked on fishing and the magic of Alaska when I was very young helping my dad pull King Salmon out of set nets in Dillingham, Alaska. Picking through our set net sites along the shores of Bristol Bay, there was a powerful passion passed down to me that has grown into a business of teaching others how to enjoy what I love so much: Alaska Salmon fishing.

Through high school in Spokane WA, while other kids were busy with sports, I found myself driving south to fish the Clearwater in Idaho every weekend for half of the year. I fell in love with the fish. The hunt for the next bite drove me to Alaska to guide right after school. Now, after a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at the University of Montana, I have found myself owning a guide service of 3 years, 2 years prior working for a cattle herding style fishing operation. Through my past guiding experiences on the Kenai I have truely found what it takes to make myself happy. I do not want to run an operation on the Kenai Peninsula that takes people's money, then sends them home. All of my clients enjoy their time on my boat, not only because I teach them so much, but because they can tell how much I care about the resource.
