Bill from Arizona enjoyed 4 great days on the Kenai Peninsula. Sunday we landed dozens of Halibut and kept 4 over 35 pounds. Bill landed 3 Kenai River King Salmon and kept this fresh King on his last day. Thanks my new good friend Bill Dupke of Diamond Point Outfitters.

As the Kenai River King salmon fishing is picking up the Kasilof River is getting better. Less pressure means more fish, and more room to fish. This fish was caught on a kwikfish, like the many others we landed this day in June. As the season is getting busier I will keep the pictures coming, please keep posted!

Kasilof River King Salmon |
|
The Kasilof River has been producing King Salmon on a regular basis. June 15th we landed 5 nice King Salmon. We had to release 2 natives, but were able to take home these 3 nice hatchery fish. We hooked over 10 fish today, but were able to successfully land 5. This fishery will be a great chance at taking home a fish for the next two weeks! Book your Kenai Peninsula trip today.

As the Kenai is closed, we have been forced to fish the Kasilof for the time being. This fishery provides anglers with the chance at keeping a hatchery fish, and releasing native produced fish. Robin, from Eagle River landed this nice 17 pound hatchery King Salmon in shallow water out of a drift boat. The Kasilof is a great float, and very exciting to fish as it is only 2-4 feet deep. Book your Kasilof River King Salmon trip today! The Kings are in!!!

Finally Devon and I have arrived in Alaska. The season is among us, but I must not forget the amazing drive we had up the Alcan last week. We saw over 100 moose and 50 bears. This bear was less than 20 yards. Let the season begin.

Largest Bitterroot Brown I have caught! |
|
As I am getting ready to leave Montana for good, I have felt inclined to spend more time on the Bitterroot where I have spend most of my time fishing Montana for the last 5 years. I fished with a good buddy of mine who has guided many rivers in Montana. The May flies were thick, but this 24 inch ate a stone under an indicator. To this day it is my largest fish on 4 weight!

Belknap Guide Service has added yet another great option for Kenai River Lodging. Ron's Cabin is less than 100 feet from the Kenai. This cabin books for $75 per person, per night. |

Nate's Bait Fishing Products |
|
Nate's Bait Fishing Products has been one of the reasons my business, but more importantly my fishing, has been so successful. Nate has been a friend of mine since I started guiding 5 years ago. He built a business on quality products that are easier than his competition to use. His one step bait curing process makes curing eggs easy. I would like to thank Nate for all he has done for me. Give his cure a shot. You will be happy with the quality, long lasting finished product.

Release A Hog Take Home a Trophy |
|
This replica mount is courtesy of the Sportfishing Association. What Vicky did, was landed a 53 inch King Salmon on my boat on the Kenai River. She decided to let it go and have it mounted. She became a member of the Sportfishing Association for $25, then was credited $800 towards her mount! We need more fisherman like you Vicky!!!

I have been looking through some old photos lately. I am looking forward to the serenity of early morning fishing on the Kenai! |
