Here is it! The pride of the Kenai River. We target the middle portion of the Kenai River where the average fish is 18 inches, with 25-30 inch fish caught on almost a daily basis. This middle portion of the Kenai is known for it's massive King Salmon spawning grounds, which provide for ample amounts of food for the Native Rainbows to gorge their bellies. For the fisherman looking for his Rainbow trout of a lifetime, this trip is the trip for you. We tackle these monster Rainbows using fly rods, we are also equipped with spinning gear. For the fisherman that is reluctant to use a fly rod, rest assured, by the end of the day you will be casting and handling line like you have fly fished your entire life. This is my favorite time of year to fish the Kenai River. We see more wildlife this time of year, and on a daily basis you have the opportunity to break the 15 pound mark for a world class Rainbow Trout.
